The tag division might still be AEW’s crown jewel, but the women’s division continues to get stronger. Not only through signings like Toni Storm and Athena, but also by long-time signings improving their arsenal. One of the best ways to do that in AEW right now is by working with Serena Deeb, hence Anna Jay, who has just 56 matches to her name, working with her at Fyter Fest.

The best course of action here would be for Deeb to win while making Jay look good and teaching her a thing or two about how that’s done. Jay picking up a surprise win isn’t out of the realm of possibility though, especially if AEW has aspirations to push her up the card sometime soon.

The future of ROH under AEW’s banner remains unclear. Khan is keeping the brand alive though and will be doing something with it, and during the first Rampage of 2022’s Fyter Fest, ROH’s richest prize will be up for grabs. Champion Jonathan Gresham will defend the title against Lee Moriarty in what is likely to be a pretty terrific match.

With Death Before Dishonor right around the corner, it seems unlikely we will see a title change of this magnitude in this match. Even though Gresham still doesn’t have an opponent for the PPV. The champ to retain in this one, but that definitely doesn’t mean you should give it a miss.

Back to tag teams, and this match is a perfect example of just how strong AEW’s division is. Either or both of these teams could replace the challengers in Fyter Fest’s title match and most fans wouldn’t bat an eyelid. Unless you pay close attention to the rankings that is.

The four competitors in this match are talented enough to make this the match of the night, although outdoing what will likely be the main event will take some doing. Lucha Bros, in particular, have arguably been overlooked for a very long time. They’ve had some classics with The Bucks in AEW before. A win here to get them one step closer to having another seems like the right way to go.
